Whitehaven Beach, arguably the most beautiful beach in the world, with its unique white sand and clear blue water make it simply the most stunning and unique location to be married.  You'll feel a million miles from anywhere, when in fact Whitehaven Beach is only an 8 minute flight from Hamilton Island.

Hamilton Island Weddings can arrange everything for your Whitehaven Beach Wedding including air and sea transport for you and your guests, photography, video, flowers, hair & make up and more.  Our aim is to take the stress out of your wedding day, so all you need to do is relax.

Whitehaven beach ceremony permit

Hamilton Island Weddings is the only company with a commercial permit to conduct wedding ceremonies on Whitehaven Beach, this means you are not required to apply for and obtain your own permit from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority or National Parks & Wildlife.

There are many options available to transport yourself and your guests to Whitehaven Beach.  These include helicopter, sea plane, motor and sail boat.  For more information regarding how to get yourself and your guests to Whitehaven Beach, please contact your Wedding Planner.

The above is a sample itinerary only, your own itinerary would need to take into consideration various factors and will be personalised and created by your Wedding Planner.  This itinerary is based on a 2pm ceremony, utilising Whitehaven Beach Ceremony Photography package and Diamond Video Package services.  Helicopter costs also need to be factored in for the bride, groom and applicable service providers.

Photography & Video

Hamilton Island Weddings very own photography and video production departments will cater to all your photography and video needs for your wedding day, and there is no location our photography and video teams would rather shoot than on Whitehaven Beach.  They will be there to capture all the special moments, from boarding or disembarking the helicopter to your ceremony on the beach, and family and group photos with the endless ocean views as the ideal backdrop. 

Please note: Due to the additional time involved in a Whitehaven Beach Wedding, a minimum "Whitehaven Beach Photography Package" and "Diamond Video Package" is required to cover a Whitehaven Beach ceremony.

Decoration & Music

Amplified music is permitted for ceremonial purposes and must not be played at levels that impinge upon the amenity of other marine or national park users, your Wedding Planner will control the level of the music on the day to ensure all restrictions are adhered to.

No decoration is allowed on the beach itself.  Instead let the amazing views be all the decoration you need.  For more information regarding having your ceremony on Whitehaven Beach, please contact your Wedding Planner.
